Our story...

The partnership of Drs Thomas and Gill took over the running of Griffiths Practice from 1st April 2021, after retirement of outgoing GP Partner, who in his time had subcontracted services to The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.

Both partners have extensive past experience of General Practice and have great aspirations for Griffiths Practice. They set immediately to transform the practice and modernise it to latest standards.

Re-decoration of the premises was started.

Additional useful clinical space was created through partitioning and sound-proofing rooms so the doctors and nurses could better serve our patients.

Final touches with new infection-control compliant flooring really gave our practice a new lease of life.

… and the work has not stopped.

Telephones

Initially, there were only 2 incoming/outgoing phone lines, which meant our patients could be waiting a long time in a call queue before getting an answer. We spoke with out telephones provider and bought 12 additional phone lines for the practice so as not to inconvenience our patients.

Appointments

The appointments system for doctors and nurses was improved to create better capacity for more patients to be seen in their own surgery. We introduced a mix or urgent and routine appointments, as well as a mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments with the doctors.

The Team

Most importantly, our Partners and Practice Manager set about building the right team of individuals with right level of support and mentoring. The team members complement each others’ strengths and build on these to offer the best version of themselves in serving our patients.

When the time is right, we aspire to become a teaching and training practice for health professionals in the future.

Mission Statement

At Griffiths Practice, we aim to deliver highest quality health care that is continuing, holistic and responsive to our patients’ needs and preferences.

Vision

Patients are put at the heart of all we do.

Integrity in operating within an ethical framework through openness and transparency. Being accountable for our actions.

Learning and improving and adapting to change, building on achievements and developing our services.

Our practice is inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure we are meeting essential standards of quality and safety.

This widget provides a summary of the results of the latest checks carried out by the CQC.
